The placement test is the first step to identify the actual academic level of new students joining the Afghanistan Girls Online International School. This test ensures that each learner is placed at the right grade level and begins their learning journey efficiently.

The purpose of the placement test is to evaluate the actual academic level of students who wish to advance directly to a higher grade.
This exam is specifically designed for those transferring from other schools or who have temporarily been out of education but possess the knowledge and skills to move ahead. Through this system, we ensure that every student's potential is recognized, and they are placed in the grade level that best matches their abilities.

Who needs this exam?

The placement test is intended for students who fall into one or more of the following categories:

  1. Students transferring from other schools who wish to enter a higher grade directly.

  2. Individuals who have experienced educational interruptions due to migration, personal, or social circumstances but possess strong academic capabilities.

  3. Learners whose academic skills exceed the standard level for their current age or grade and seek formal evaluation for advancement.

  4. Students without official academic documents who want to be placed in the appropriate grade based on their actual knowledge.

 

Note:
Taking this test is mandatory for such students to ensure proper placement within the academic system.

Steps to Register for the Placement Test

The registration process for the placement test is simple and transparent:

  1. Carefully review the information provided on this page.

  2. Fill out the online registration form with accurate personal and academic details.

  3. Select the desired grade level and provide a reason for your advancement request.

  4. Upload supporting documents if available (e.g., transcripts, certificates).

  5. Wait for confirmation from the school’s admissions team via email or WhatsApp.

  6. Receive the test link and the exact schedule for the online exam.

Test Content by Grade Level

🔍 The placement test content is designed according to the grade the applicant wishes to enter. The goal is to assess the student’s prior knowledge in key subjects.

Grades 7 to 9:

Scientific Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
Languages and Literature: Dari, Pashto, and English
Social Studies: History and Geography
Religious Studies: Islamic Education (Hanafi School of Thought)

Grades 10 to 12:

Scientific Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geology
Languages and Literature: Dari, Pashto, and English
Social Studies: History and Geography
Religious Studies: Islamic Education and Interpretation of the Holy Quran (Tafsir Sharif)
Digital Literacy: Basic familiarity with computer skills

Steps to Register for the Placement Test

The placement test is completely free of charge, and the registration process is simple and clear:

  1. Carefully review the information on this page to understand the purpose and conditions of the exam.

  2. Fill out the online registration form with accurate personal and academic details.

  3. Select the grade you wish to enter and explain your reason for requesting advancement.

  4. Upload supporting documents such as previous grades, certificates, or relevant files.

  5. Wait for confirmation from the admissions team via email or WhatsApp.

  6. Receive the exam link, date, and all related details for the online test.

Important Note:
No fees or payments are required at this stage. The placement test is a completely free service provided by our school.

Test Schedule and Format

Online Exam Format:

  1. Exam Type: All exams are conducted online through the school’s official educational system.

  2. Exam Style: Includes multiple-choice questions, short written answers, and in some cases, oral evaluation (via video call).

  3. Platform: The test will be accessed via the official website or a private link sent by the admissions team.

  4. Transparency Control: Anti-cheating measures such as screen monitoring and time-tracking are in place to ensure fairness.

Exam Schedule:

  • After Registration: Once registration is completed, students will receive their exact exam date and time via email or WhatsApp.

  • Duration: Each exam typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes.

  • Suggested Days: Thursdays and Fridays (for students’ convenience)

  • Exam Time: Between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM (adjustable according to student’s local time zone)

 

Important Note:
Students should be online at least 30 minutes before the exam starts and ensure a stable internet connection, a working device (laptop or mobile), and a quiet environment.

Technical Guide for Participating in the Exam

Technical Guide for Students to Successfully Join the Online Placement Exam:

To ensure a smooth experience, students must follow the below technical instructions:

1. Required Devices:

  • Computer, laptop, or smartphone

  • Camera (for video monitoring if needed)

  • Headset with microphone (if oral interview is included)

2. Stable Internet:

  • Minimum recommended speed: 2 Mbps or higher

  • Wi-Fi is preferred; mobile data with a strong signal is acceptable.

3. Exam Platform:

  • A unique exam link will be sent via email and WhatsApp.

  • Only use the official link and avoid clicking on unknown sources.

4. System Testing Before Exam:

  • Students should test their device, camera, audio, and internet connection one day before the test using a trial link provided.

5. Security Guidelines:

  • No additional apps or software are needed.

  • Do not share your personal link or details with anyone else.

6. Online Supervision:

  • Students must remain visible through their camera during the exam.

  • The platform may record audio and video to ensure transparency.

 

Important Tip:
Ensure a quiet room, fully charged device, and use plugged-in power if available to avoid interruptions during the exam.

Evaluation Method and Result Announcement

Evaluation Method:

  • 1. Scoring Structure:
    The placement exam is scored out of 100 points:

    • 60% multiple-choice questions

    • 30% short written answers

    • 10% online interview (if required for verbal skills assessment)

  • 2. Promotion Criteria:

    • Students who score 70 or above are promoted to the next grade.

    • Scores between 50–69 require attending a short remedial course before retaking the exam.

    • Scores below 50 indicate the need to review the current grade's concepts again.

  • 3. Subject-wise Assessment:

    • Each subject is evaluated independently.

    • A student may be asked to revise a specific subject even if their overall score is high.

Result Announcement:

  • Timing:
    Results are shared within 5 to 7 working days after the test via email and WhatsApp.

  • Format:

    • Detailed subject-wise scores

    • Summary of strengths and areas for improvement

    • Guidance on the next grade or remedial plan (if applicable)

  • Right to Appeal:
    Students may request a re-evaluation within 3 days after result publication by submitting an online request.
