Requirements and Expectations from Volunteers

Volunteering at the Afghanistan Girls International Online School is a great honor that comes with responsibility, structure, and professionalism. To ensure the quality and impact of our programs, volunteers are expected to meet the following essential criteria:

General Requirements for Volunteers:

  1. Relevant knowledge or experience in the chosen field

  2. Commitment to a regular schedule (minimum 1–2 hours per week)

  3. Basic familiarity with online tools (Zoom, Google Meet, Google Docs, etc.)

  4. Ability to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds

  5. Adherence to ethics, courtesy, respect, and human values

  6. Willingness to work collaboratively and follow guidance

  7. Passion, patience, and a strong belief in free education for underserved Afghan girls

Important Note:
All volunteer activities are non-profit and based on goodwill. However, volunteers will receive an official certificate of participation acknowledging their valuable contribution.

Afghanistan Girls International Online School sets clear responsibilities for its volunteers to ensure educational quality, consistency, and professionalism.

General Responsibilities of Volunteers:

  1. Punctual attendance at scheduled teaching or advising sessions

  2. Thorough preparation before each session

  3. Use of reliable and up-to-date educational resources

  4. Fostering a respectful, encouraging, and motivating learning environment

  5. Regular reporting of activities to the assigned coordinator

  6. Uploading educational materials to designated platforms (Google Drive or LMS)

  7. Timely and effective responses to students’ questions and needs

  8. Respecting student confidentiality and personal boundaries

  9. Collaborating with other volunteers and staff in a team spirit

  10. Participating in volunteer orientation or feedback sessions when requested

Volunteers Are Not Permitted To:

  • Impose personal, political, religious, or cultural views

  • Engage in private, non-academic contact with students

  • Misuse school or student information

  • Request financial or non-financial compensation
